QuickSave ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that helps you manage your clipboard history and create text snippets for quick expansion. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
Key Point: All your data is stored locally on your device. We never collect, transmit, or have access to your clipboard history, snippets, or any personal information.
Data Collection and Storage
What Data We Store
The Extension stores the following information locally on your device:
- Clipboard history (text you've copied)
- Text snippets you create
- App settings (theme preferences, etc.)
- Usage statistics (clips saved, snippets used)
How Data is Stored
All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). Your data:
- Never leaves your browser
- Is not sent to any external servers
- Is not shared with any third parties
- Is not accessible to us or anyone else
Data You Control
You have complete control over your data:
- View all clipboard items and snippets in the Extension popup
- Delete individual items or clear all history
- Export your data as a JSON backup
- Import data from backup files
- Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data
Permissions We Request
The Extension requests the following permissions:
- storage: To save your clipboard history and snippets locally
- clipboardRead: To read text you copy so it can be saved to history
- clipboardWrite: To paste items from your history back to the clipboard
Data Sharing
We do NOT:
- Collect any analytics or usage data
- Send any data to external servers
- Share your data with third parties
- Track your browsing activity
- Access any websites you visit
- Read clipboard content from before installation
Third-Party Services
The free version of QuickSave does not use any third-party services.
The Pro version uses Stripe (via ExtensionPay) for secure payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy
Children's Privacy
QuickSave is suitable for users of all ages. We do not collect any personal data from any users, including children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device and we have no access to it, you can exercise all data rights directly through the Extension's interface or by uninstalling the extension.
